Wedding FAQs

Are you mobile for wedding hair services?

Yes, in most cases I am strictly mobile for weddings. I want to be as accommodating for my brides as possible, so that the day runs smoothly and stress-free.

What are your wedding hair service prices?

You can find my up-to-date prices on my website here: Wedding Pricing.

Do you require a deposit?

To ensure we are all confident in our agreement, a contract and deposit are required before I can confirm your booking date.

The deposits are generally non-refundable, with the exception of an act of God , a pandemic and some other circumstances.

Do you charge a travel fee? What if there is a parking fee at the location?

Travel within a 10 kilometer radius of Nepean, ON K2G 3A4 is free of charge. A mileage fee of $1/km in both directions will be charged for any additional distance. If an extra stylist is needed, there will be additional travel and parking fees for them as well.

. Where parking fees may be incurred, they will then be added onto the final balance on the day of the wedding. Please note, if the location is at a hotel, valet will be used primarily in order to avoid delays in starting hair services.

If you would like a quote, send me a message and I’ll be happy to give you a proper estimate.

How far in advance should I book my wedding hair services?

I usually recommend booking as soon as you have your wedding date confirmed. It is never too early to book your hair services. Generally, the time frame is about one year to one and a half years in advance. Keep in mind that over a year in advance is recommended if your wedding is during peak wedding season (May- October).

Do you recommend I book a trial?

Yes. believe it or not, a trial is just as important as the wedding day hair itself. Just as in every wedding, there are always small unpredictable situations. My goal as your Bridal Specialist is to help make your wedding morning a bit more predictable.

Your hair trial is where we will consult, take a little extra time and make sure your vision will be met on the day of your wedding, with no little surprises. This is also your chance to preview your bridal hair and allow me to get to know you and your hair!

I always recommend the trial takes place anywhere between 2 weeks - 2 months before the wedding. Trials are done in my home studio located in Nepean.

Do you have a minimum requirement?

I require a minimum of 5 hair services (Bride +  4) for all weekend mobile bookings. All other days (Mon - Fri) I require a minimum of 3 services (Bride +2). For customized information, send me a wedding Inquiry

Can you provide hair services for a larger bridal party ( 7+ services)?

Weddings with a limited time to get ready or 7+hair services may require an additional stylist to help accommodate your wedding day timeline. A 2nd stylist can be hired for an additional fee. To assure availability of a second stylist, it is recommended to add the extra stylist before finalizing the contract as bridal stylists get booked far in advance. It is possible to add a 2nd stylist later on, however their availability is no longer guaranteed.

Don’t worry, I only bring talented stylists whose work I can vouch for. To make things easier, their pricing will follow my own.

Can I use hair extensions for my upstyle?

For an upstyle, I usually recommend hair padding rather than extensions. Hair padding will better highlight and provide fullness to the upstyle’s focal point. I supply a variety of high quality hair padding for any upstyle look.

For partial upstyle or curls, I would definitely recommend extensions as they can really make a huge difference in showcasing your length, fullness and help keep your curls holding the whole night.

I do not know what hair accessory will compliment my hair style, can you help me with this?

Yes, I definitely can! When you fill in my wedding inquiry, make sure to ask about hair accessories and I would love to help! I always have some accessories available for purchase as well if you are looking for something timeless, simple or last minute you decide to add one to your style…I got you! ;)

How should I (we) prepare my (our) hair for the day of the wedding?

For anyone getting an upstyle or curls, please wash & blow dry your hair smooth one day in advance (not more than one day please...dirty is not better!). Also, make sure not to use a hair straightener to smooth it out as this in most cases does not help.

For anyone getting a blow dry (no curls), please wash your hair the day of the wedding as close as possible to your blow dry so that it stays damp for me.

I am looking for a makeup artist, do you recommend one?

Yes, Makeup by Nicole is one of Ottawa’s best! We also happen to be sisters and make a great bridal team. You can see her work and get in contact here: Makeup by Nicole
